## Rules questions

### Can more than one player take the same die from the Forum on a turn?

Yes — you do not remove dice from the Forum, so multiple players may choose the same die during the simultaneous action phase (page 3).

### Do I have to choose a die to construct my Wonder?

No — your Wonder is the only Building you can construct without choosing a die; pay its cost with Resources and/or Coins and cross off its spaces in the arrow order (pages 4, 6).

### Are Resources spent when I build, and what if I don’t have enough?

Resources are never spent and remain available until game end; if you lack resources for a construction you must spend 1 Coin per missing Resource from your Gold Reserve (page 5).

### When do the special dice (black/white/purple) appear in the Forum and can I pick them before unlocking them?

You unlock special dice via the University; when you unlock one you replace a random grey die in the Forum at the end of that turn, and you cannot choose a special die in the Forum until you have unlocked it yourself (page 7).

### How does military (Barracks) scoring work — do defense spaces crossed this turn count against my attack?

When you cross an attack space you gain Victory Points based on how many defense spaces the defending city already has crossed off on previous turns (0 = full points, 1 = −1, 2 = −2), and you must write those VPs immediately on the attacked space (page 6).

### What are the Guild Court requirements — do spaces crossed during this same turn count, and how does it change in two-player games?

To cross a Guild Court space you must have at least as many crossed-off spaces in the Building shown as each neighbor (in 2-player games you must have strictly more), and spaces crossed off during the current turn do not count toward that total (page 7).
