## Rules questions

### Do we remove any Competency tiles before setting up?

Yes. Randomly return 5 of the 17 Competency types to the box, then set up the remaining tiles as usual. (p. 1)

### When can I use a Lock Breaker, and what does it let me do?

At the start of your turn in the Action phase, before taking your action, you may spend 1 Lock Breaker to remove an X-token from an action space. You can then use that action space again immediately as your action for the turn. (p. 2)

### Where can I place a Chrono Projection, and do I need a Scholar for it?

Place it on an undeveloped terrain hex within Reach of one of your buildings or another of your Chrono Projections, and put one of your Scholars from the supply on it. If you have no Scholar left in the supply, you cannot place one. (p. 2)

### Can another player build or terraform on my Chrono Projection?

No. A hex with a Chrono Projection counts as developed, so other players cannot terraform or build there, or place another Chrono Projection on it. You may later terraform and build a Workshop or place a Neutral building there, following the usual rules. (p. 2)

### Does a Chrono Projection count as a building?

No: it does not trigger power when built next to it, give opponents power when you place it, or let you build a Guild at the cheaper cost. It can extend your Reach and connect buildings for Area Score, but it does not itself count as a building. (p. 2)

### What happens to my Chrono Projection if I build on its hex, and what if I leave it there until the end?

When you build on its hex, remove the Chrono Projection and take back its Scholar (do not return the Scholar to the supply). At game end, lose 5 points for each of your Chrono Projections still on the board with a Scholar on it. (p. 2)
