## Rules questions

### How many actions can I take on my turn — can I do several things?

You get 1 action per turn (choose one of the listed actions), but there are free actions you may also perform during your turn such as activating population cards and objective cards if you have the resources; these free actions do not use up your main action (pages 4, 7).

### If I produce resources by placing population cubes on workplaces, can I keep those resources for later turns?

No — resources produced by placing population cubes are produced immediately and must be used in the same turn; you cannot produce resources in advance for later turns (page 4).

### How many ships can I build in a single Expand action?

You may build up to as many ships as you have shipyards, with each shipyard able to build one ship whose strength is less than or equal to that shipyard’s strength (page 6).

### Can I trade for a resource even if the other player’s workplaces are already occupied, and can they refuse my trade?

Yes — you may trade for a resource even if the producing player’s workplaces are occupied, and the other player cannot refuse the trade; they simply receive 1 gold from the supply (page 5).

### If I play the last population card from my hand, does the game end right away?

Playing the last card triggers the end of the game and that player immediately takes the fireworks token, but the current round is finished so everyone still gets the same number of turns and then one final round is played before scoring (page 10).

### Can I spend gold to get population cubes back from workplaces/exhausted area and use them again in the same turn?

Yes — during your turn you may spend gold to perform a shift end for selected population cubes, returning them from workplaces or the exhausted area to their residential district so they can be used again immediately (page 5).
