## Rules questions

### How many colors/cards do we use with 2, 3, or 4 players?

The deck has 10 colors of 8 cards each (80 cards total); with 4 players use all colors, with 3 players return 2 colors to the box, and with 2 players return 4 colors to the box (it doesn’t matter which colors are removed). (page 2)

### Which colors should we take out when playing with fewer than 4 players?

It does not matter which specific colors are returned to the box when playing with 2 or 3 players — any colors may be removed. (page 2)

### Who deals and who is the start player?

The player who last watered a plant is the start player; the player to that start player's right is the dealer, who shuffles and deals. (page 2)

### How many cards does each player get at the start?

The dealer shuffles and deals 7 cards to each player; those 7 cards form each player’s starting hand. (page 2)

### What do we do with the remaining cards after dealing?

After dealing the starting hands, place the remaining cards in the middle of the table to form the draw pile. (page 2)
