## Rules questions

### Can I ask a character about a location?

No — Characters may never be asked about locations; scanning a location while in interrogation will end the interrogation and move you to that location (see page 4).

### Where do I put newly revealed Character, Evidence or Special Item cards?

Place a new Character on the Location board slot indicated or on an Unlocated Character slot on the Evidence Board if you don't know their location; Evidence Category cards that the app marks as clues go on the Evidence Board (red area = you have the object, blue = you only know about it); Special Item cards are placed immediately on the Evidence Board as the app instructs (see pages 3 and 5).

### How much in‑game time does each action take?

Each scan of an Evidence Category card, each question asked to a Character, and each scene observation advances 5 minutes of game time, while traveling between Locations advances 20 minutes (see page 7).

### When we use Search the Scene, how does it work and how much time do we have?

Search the Scene uses a panoramic or 3D view and you have 40 seconds to look around and describe what you see while others pick matching Evidence Category cards; scan the chosen cards afterward and the app will tell you which are useful, and doing extra searches costs additional in‑game time (see page 6).

### What happens if we get stuck on a puzzle and ask Charlotte for help?

Asking Charlotte whether you have all elements for a puzzle is free, but if you request a hint she deducts 10 points from your score and asking her for the full solution costs another 10 points (see page 6).

### How do we finish or 'solve' the case?

Go to the Newspaper Office location and press the SOLVE THE CASE button; you'll be asked a series of questions that you answer by scanning the cards that support your deductions, and your final score depends on those answers (see pages 3 and 7).
