## Rules questions

### Is salt a wildcard — can I use salt as any good to pay costs or buy personality cards?

Salt is stored in your storehouse and is a wildcard that can replace any other good at any time, but you can never buy or sell salt for sestertii (p. 1).

### How do salt cities count for scoring — do they count as all goods for Minerva or for Mercurius?

Salt cities count normally for Jupiter (temple) and Saturnus (province); for Minerva each salt city counts as exactly one type of good (you treat it as one chosen good), but salt cities do not count for Mercurius (different types of goods) (p. 1).

### Can I interrupt the Architect's building action by playing forum cards (i.e., do Building - Forum card - Building)?

No — the Architect's building action cannot be interrupted by forum cards; sequences like Moving - Forum card - Building are allowed, but Building - Forum card - Building is forbidden (p. 2).

### When I play the Tribune which forum cards am I allowed to take?

Playing the Tribune lets you take exactly one of the four displayed forum cards for free, but the choice depends on how many personality cards you already have (including the Tribune): 10+ = any of the 4, 8–9 = first 3, 6–7 = first 2, 4–5 = first 1 (p. 2).

### Do patrician (blue) forum cards stay with me and do citizen (green) cards get discarded after use, and can I use a card I just took that same move?

Yes — blue patricians are permanent and stay with the owner, green citizens are one‑time effects and must be discarded after use, and newly obtained forum cards may be used in the same move (p. 2).

### If a forum card gives me goods can I use those goods immediately (for example to pay for a build)?

Yes — goods gained from a forum card must be placed into your storehouse and may then be used immediately in that same move (p. 2).
