## Rules questions

### Can I rotate or flip flower tiles when I place them?

Yes — you may flip over and rotate the Flower Tiles any way you like (page 3).

### Can I overlap tiles or let tiles stick out of a Flowerbed?

No — you may not place Flower Tiles onto or overlapping other Flower Tiles, nor may tiles protrude over the edge of a Flowerbed (page 3).

### What if I take a tile but can't place it — can I keep it for later?

You are not allowed to take a Flower Tile you cannot place; if you can't place a chosen tile you must take a Flowerpot instead and place that Flowerpot immediately on one of your Flowerbeds (page 2).

### How do I get Cats, when can I use them, and how many can I hold?

You receive a Cat whenever one of your scoring cubes crosses the red line; you may place Cats on empty Flowerbed spaces at any time (even when it’s not your turn), but you may only have two Cats in your personal reserve at the end of your turn and must place extras on empty spaces until you meet that limit (pages 3–4).

### How does refilling the Gardener Row work — and can I spend a Cat to fill only 1–2 spaces?

Refill empty Gardener Row spaces by taking the Flower Tiles from the queue in order starting from the tile directly in front of the Wheelbarrow, pushing the Wheelbarrow forward for each taken tile; if only 1 or 2 spaces are empty you may return a Cat to the reserve to allow filling those spaces from the queue (page 2).

### How are Flowerpots and Plant Covers scored when I complete a Flowerbed?

When you complete a Flowerbed move one Orange cube forward a number of spaces equal to visible Flowerpots (1 point each) and one Blue cube forward according to visible Plant Covers (2 points each); covered Flowerpots/Plant Covers do not count and you must move a single cube the full amount (page 3).
