## Rules questions

### Can I move my Titans even if I don't have the favor of Ares?

Yes — Titans can be moved without Ares by paying GP: the first Titan move costs 1 GP, the second (same or another Titan) costs 2 GP, the third 3 GP, etc.; Titans move like troops and can carry other troops from the same territory. Also note that a player who chose Apollo cannot move his Titans that turn. (page 2)

### How do Artifacts appear, how do I buy/use them, and can they make me win instantly?

The five Artifact cards are shuffled into the Mythological Creatures deck and can be bought like a Creature; when bought you keep the card and place the matching figurine in one of your territories, and each Artifact grants powers (and 1 GP during revenues). Owning all five Artifacts at the same time wins the game immediately. (pages 3–4)

### What's the free-positioning setup — how many troops/fleets do I get and where do I place them?

In the preliminary free-positioning round players receive 7 GP, there are no units on the board, and after the auction each player deploys 2 Troops and 2 Fleets (plus the bonus tied to the God they won) onto two adjacent territories and two adjacent sea spaces next to them; you must place troops on two adjacent territories (so you cannot start on a single-territory island). ### In team play, can I enter my teammate's territory or use their fleets, or give them my gold?

No — teammates may not cross or enter a teammate’s territory nor use a teammate’s fleets, and they cannot give GPs to each other (they may, however, share how much gold they each have). The team goal is to have three Metropolises between the two players. (page 3)

### What happens to a Titan in combat — can creatures like the Harpy kill it, and what do I lose if I lose a round?

A Titan counts as one troop in battle and the Harpy cannot kill a Titan; if the Titan’s owner loses a round of combat and has other troops present, he may choose whether to lose a normal troop or his Titan. (page 2)

### If I conquer an opponent's last territory in a team game, can I immediately place a Metropolis there?

Yes — in team play a player who conquers an opponent’s last territory may immediately place a Metropolis if that territory doesn’t already have one, has the Metropolis (dotted red) square, and doing so would give the team its third (or more) Metropolis; this action can trigger the end-of-game procedures for the team.
