## Rules questions

### Can I activate more than one Specialist on my turn?

No — a normal turn is activating a single Specialist (place a disc on one Specialist), though that Specialist may let you perform multiple actions in that one turn; you may also spend a Dive token instead of activating a Specialist (see pg. 8, pg. 11).

### When I Travel, do I get the arrival bonus for every zone I pass through?

No — you only gain the Arrival bonus for the final destination zone, and your movement and maximum depth are each limited by your Technology level on the Ingenuity track (pg. 9).

### If a Sonar/Discover lets me draw from depths I can't yet reach, can I still draw those deeper boards?

Yes — you may draw and place boards that are deeper than you can currently travel to, though placement must follow the scenario’s placement rules (e.g., deeper boards require shallower support beneath them) (pg. 10).

### Can I spend a Dive token the moment I reveal it, or do I have to wait?

You may spend Dive tokens immediately (before, after, or between actions on your turn), gaining their Research or effects; you may store at most one token on your mat at the end of your turn and your Research track caps at 12 (pg. 11).

### Do I need to have a Vessel on the exact Journal site to publish a Journal?

You must have a Vessel in the same zone as the Journal site, but not on the specific site; choose an unoccupied Journal site in that zone whose Field symbol matches a Journal in the display, pay its Research cost, and claim the Journal (pg. 12).

### Where can I place a marker when I gain Impact on the Impact board?

Place your marker in any empty hex that either has an entry arrow pointing to it or that touches another occupied hex, and then gain the reward printed there (note some hexes are ∞ and can hold multiple markers) (pg. 14).
