## Rules questions

### Can I place a card anywhere on my farm, and do I have to pay for it?

Cards are placed at specific sides: left = field, top = market barrow, right = farm extension, bottom = helper; fields, market barrows and helpers are placed for free but farm extensions cost farm goods (each extension costs more than the previous) and fields enter the game empty (page 11).

### How do the revenue dice work — who rolls them and when do we take the die actions?

The start player rolls the revenue dice and places them by the revenue spaces; in game turn order each player takes one die, places it on the left die space of his farm and performs its action, then each takes a second die for the right die space, and finally all players perform the action of the remaining die (pages 13–14).

### When do pigs reproduce and what happens if I have no space for the pig?

During the Farm Phase (Growth on fields and pig offspring) if you have at least two pigs you receive one pig as offspring, but only if you have an empty den space — if you lack space you do not get the offspring and you may not sell a newborn immediately (page 12).

### What is my hand limit and when do I have to discard down to it?

Your hand limit is checked at the end of the card-placement step: at game start it is three cards and farm extensions/helpers can increase it; you may temporarily have more cards during a turn, but you must draw to and/or discard down to your current limit at that specific moment (page 11).

### How does the siesta track and donkey marker choice affect turn order and deliveries?

Each player secretly selects a donkey marker, reveals it, then in game turn order advances 0–3 steps on the siesta track according to the marker; the player furthest along becomes start player and the number of donkey symbols on your marker is the maximum deliveries you may carry out in the Transportation Phase (pages 14–15).

### If I complete a craft building, can I use the craft marker immediately, and what about blocked buildings?

When you fully supply a craft building you take its craft marker, receive the listed victory points and may immediately use the front-side function once (and keep the marker for endgame); three craft buildings start "blocked" by building-order markers and cannot be delivered to until they are unblocked when a player first completes one (pages 16–17).
