## Rules questions

### Can I rotate or flip a patch before placing it?

Yes — you may turn the patch any way you like before placing it on your quilt board, but patches may not overlap (page 1).

### How many patches can I choose from on my turn?

You may choose from the three patches in front of the neutral token (in clockwise order) — no other patches are available at that moment (page 1).

### When do I receive button income or get a special patch?

Whenever your time token moves onto or past a marked space on the time board, resolve that event: take any special patch you land on and place it immediately, and receive button income according to the patches on your quilt board (page 2).

### When I take a patch, when do I pay and when do I move my time token?

When taking a patch you first pay the depicted number of buttons to the supply (step 3), place the patch on your quilt board (step 4), and then move your time token by the number of spaces shown on the patch label (step 5) (pages 1–2).

### What does action A (Advance) do and how many buttons do I get?

Action A moves your time token to the space directly in front of your opponent's time token, and you receive 1 button for each space you moved your token (page 1).

### How does the game end and how is final scoring done?

The game ends after both time tokens reach the last space; final score = buttons you have plus the special tile (if you earned it) minus 2 points for each empty space on your quilt board, and ties go to the player who reached the final space first (page 2).
