## Rules questions

### Can I use a person's ability the same turn I play them?

No — a person is not ready the turn it is played, so you cannot use its ability that turn unless a specific card or trait states otherwise (see “Play Card (Person)” and “Ready” rules, pg. 10–11). Some exceptions are noted in the People FAQ (e.g., Karli Blaze), see pg. 13.

### Can Raiders damage a protected camp?

Yes — when the Raiders event resolves your opponent chooses one of their camps to be damaged and Raiders can damage camps even if they are protected (pg. 9).

### Do damage icons hit cards that are 'behind' another card or otherwise protected?

Generally no — the damage icons can only hit unprotected cards unless an effect or card text explicitly says it ignores protection or targets “any/all” (pg. 13).

### When do events resolve and when do events advance on the Events phase?

At the start of the Events phase resolve any event in your 1st space and discard it, then advance all events in your queue one space forward (pg. 9).

### If an ability (like Cannon) destroys a player's last camp mid-resolution, who wins or loses and when?

You win immediately when you destroy your opponent’s last camp, and you lose immediately if an effect destroys your last camp — for example Cannon’s destruction causes an immediate loss before the ability completes (pg. 12–13).
