## Rules questions

### When do I flip a scoring-track card and what happens when I flip one?

Flip one scoring-track card whenever you have 3 fame tokens or 6 coins; you immediately get the bonus shown on that card, and the first player to flip all 6 scoring-track cards wins the game (page 3).

### How do I pay to take a building card — can I use multiple dice and can I overpay?

Pay the building's cost by discarding dice cards of the color shown on the card until you reach at least the printed value; you may overpay but receive no change, and you cannot buy the building if you lack the required dice (page 6).

### How do ships get bought and what if I break the ascending order of my ship row?

To buy a ship you must discard a single die card that shows the exact required number (color doesn’t matter and you may not combine dice); you immediately take the ship’s reward, place the ship at the end of your ship row in ascending-flag order, and if its number is lower than your last ship you must discard all previously bought ships into the discard pile (page 7).

### How do palace action cards work and how do I pay for/use them?

To take a palace action you discard a single die card showing the exact number required (2–6; color irrelevant), then take the palace action from the grid and resolve it immediately — palace action cards are discarded after use; specific effects for numbers 2–6 are listed on pages 8–9 (pages 8–9).

### When does a “three of a kind” trigger and what happens to the cards?

Whenever you have three of a type (three same buildings, three identical goods, three different goods, three ships in ascending order, three karma, or three administrators) the corresponding effect triggers — you collect the listed reward (coins, fame, or an administrator) and the involved cards are discarded as specified (page 9).

### Can a single card trigger two effects, and how do karma tokens modify dice?

Yes — cards showing two buildings or two goods can trigger two separate three-of-a-kind effects (both count), but if one physical card would be required for two different effects you must choose which effect to resolve; karma tokens can be spent to increase or decrease a die’s value by 1 (multiple karma may apply, values stay between 1 and 6), and used karma are returned to the supply (page 10).
