## Rules questions

### If I move a die off an Apprentice (wheel) space and place another die there in the same turn, do I get another Apprentice card?

You may gain an Apprentice Card when you place a die onto a wheel symbol even if a die was just moved off that space, but you do not gain additional Apprentice Cards if a wheel symbol would be covered more than once on the same turn (Rulebook p.3).

### When I gain an Apprentice Card, do I have to reveal or use it right away?

Apprentice Cards are kept secret until played; you may Activate (play face-up) or Discard them to gain their effect at any time during your turn unless the card states otherwise (Rulebook pp.3–4).

### How do I acquire a Masterwork Die from the Masterwork Board during drafting?

During drafting you place a drafted die into an open slot on the Masterwork Board that matches that slot’s color or value, then you may take the Masterwork Die beneath that slot (keeping its shown value) and immediately place it in your window; you also gain the Favor Tokens indicated for that slot (Rulebook p.5).

### Are Masterwork (orange) dice treated like normal dice for placement, adjacency and sums?

Masterwork dice are orange (a different color from normal dice), may be placed adjacent to any numeric values and may occupy spaces with value restrictions while still obeying color restrictions, but they each add 0 to numeric sums and count as distinct symbol-values for uniqueness checks (Rulebook p.6).

### Can I rotate or move a Masterwork Die after I place it?

Once placed a Masterwork Die cannot be rotated, turned to a different symbol, or moved unless a card/ability specifically allows it; if it is moved by an ability it may be rotated but must keep the same symbol (Rulebook p.6).

### How are Masterwork Dice scored and what if an arrow points off the window or to an empty space?

You score +5 Victory Points for each Masterwork Die whose restrictions are met and lose 2 points for each that is not met; if an arrow points off the Window Board or to an empty space that die’s requirements are not met and you lose points for it (Rulebook p.7).
