## Rules questions

### When I Enrol a Student, where exactly does that meeple go—can I put them anywhere on my board?

You must take the rightmost Student from a Student Queue and place it in the Student space underneath the Introductory Class of that discipline on your player board; you cannot choose a different space (p10).

### When I Teach a Class what exact steps happen and when do Skill token bonuses apply?

Follow the Teach a Class steps in order: activate a Student onto the Class tile, activate any matching Skill tokens for Advanced Classes, take the Student reward if the Student matches the Class, perform the Area action, then promote the activated Student; Class/Skill bonuses apply during the Skill activation and Area action steps (p11–12).

### Can I move Skill tokens between disciplines or keep more than 3 in one section?

No — each discipline’s Skill section can hold up to 3 tokens, you may replace existing tokens when adding new ones but you cannot move already-placed Skill tokens to a different discipline (p12).

### How do I calculate the Knowledge for an Area action and what about extra costs or Supported Class requirements?

Total Knowledge = your School Knowledge + the Shared Knowledge from the Student Queue + any Class bonus (the Class bonus only counts if the Student and Class share the discipline); you must also pay any resource costs shown (red carpet) and meet requirements like Supported Class where indicated (p14).

### When does majority (Book/Prestige) scoring happen and how are ties resolved?

Majority scoring is checked at the end of your turn if your action triggered it; for each region the player with the most pieces wins, and ties are broken by whose piece is on the highest-numbered space (p17–18).

### Can I exceed my resource or Book storage limits during my turn, or must I drop them immediately?

You may temporarily exceed limits during your turn, but during the end-of-turn storage check you must return any Inspiration, Gold, Salt, or Books beyond your storage limits to the supply, and choose which Prestige tokens to keep if over limit (p18).
