## Rules questions

### When can I gain a Destiny card — and can I take more than one in a game?

You may gain one Destiny card once per game when you have reached 5 or more on your turn, and gaining a Destiny from the Destiny Row costs nothing (p.1). Certain Ingeminex rewards (e.g., Malice or Agony) can grant additional Destiny cards beyond the usual one-per-game limit and don’t require you to have 5 (p.2).

### What happens when an Ingeminex is revealed from the Center Deck — does it go into the Center Row?

When an Ingeminex is revealed it is not placed in the Center Row but instead placed face-up in its own space beside the Center Row, and you immediately add another card from the Center Deck to fill the empty Center Row slot (p.1).

### If an effect recruits or reveals the top card of the Center Deck and that card is an Ingeminex, can I put it into my discard pile or hand?

No — an Ingeminex must immediately go into its unique play location and cannot be placed in a player’s discard pile, hand, or deck for any reason; after placing it, reveal the next card from the Center Deck to resolve the recruit effect (p.2).

### Who gets an Ingeminex’s reward and how do I defeat one?

Only the player who spends shards/power equal to the number in the upper-right of the Ingeminex on their turn defeats it, places it on the bottom of the Center Deck, and gains the listed reward (p.1). If you defeat an Ingeminex on the same turn it was revealed, its Attack effect does not trigger (p.1).

### If an effect makes a player 'lose life', is that the same as dealing damage and can shields stop it?

Causing a player to lose life is not considered dealing damage and therefore does not count as unblocked damage for other cards, and these effects cannot be prevented by shields (p.2).

### Do cards with no cost count as even or odd for effects that care about even/odd costs?

No — cards that have no cost are neither even nor odd (p.2).
