## Rules questions

### Do clues have to be a single word, or can I use phrases?

Clues must be a single word (compound words are allowed) and may be a common noun, proper noun, acronym, number, or onomatopoeia (examples: Rabbit, Clooney, FBI, 13, Bzzzz). (p.2)

### Can I use one of the Keywords, a translation of it, or a related word (same word family) as my clue?

No — you may not use a Keyword itself, its translation into another language, a word in the same family as a Keyword, or a made-up word as a clue. (p.3)

### After we write our clues, do we keep the same Keyword cards under the clues for resolution?

No — after writing your 4 clues you remove all Keyword cards, draw 1 new card, shuffle it with your other 4 Keywords, and place the 5 cards face-down on your board for the Resolution phase. (p.4)

### Who is the Spectator and who decides if players disagree about where a card goes?

The Spectator is the player whose board and 5 Keywords are placed face-up while the others deduce the Pairs; the Spectator must be silent, and if players disagree the player to the Spectator’s left makes the final decision. (p.4)

### What happens if we place some Pairs wrong during verification — how are points awarded?

On the first attempt, all correct yields 1 point per card plus a 2-point bonus for a perfect round (6 total); if any Pair is incorrect the Spectator quietly removes incorrect card(s) and the team gets a second and final attempt, scoring 1 point per correct card on that attempt. (p.5)

### When does the game end and how do we record our score?

The game ends after every player has been the Spectator once; add up the points earned and write your team’s score in the Record of Legends. (p.6)
