## Rules questions

### Can I take two tokens of the same color if there are only 3 left?

No — you may take 2 tokens of the same color only if there are at least 4 tokens of that color available when you take them (Rulebook p.3).

### What happens if I end my turn with more than 10 tokens? Do I have to return the new ones?

You must immediately return tokens until you have 10 or fewer; you may return some or all of the tokens you just drew (Rulebook p.3).

### Can I reserve more than three development cards or refuse a gold token when reserving?

You may not have more than three reserved cards; reserving is the only way to get a gold joker and if no gold remains you still may reserve but receive no gold (Rulebook p.3).

### When do nobles visit, and can I refuse a noble tile?

At the end of your turn you automatically receive any noble for which you meet the bonus requirements, you cannot refuse a noble, and if eligible for multiple nobles you choose which one to take (Rulebook p.3–4).

### Do card bonuses count like tokens when buying new cards?

Yes — each bonus from a development card acts as a permanent token of that color and reduces the token cost accordingly; you can purchase cards using bonuses plus tokens and even buy without spending tokens if bonuses cover the cost (Rulebook p.4).

### When does the game end and how are ties broken?

When a player reaches 15 prestige points finish the current round so all players have played the same number of turns, the highest prestige wins, and ties are broken by the fewest development cards purchased (Rulebook p.3–4).
