## Rules questions

### Do I need Line of Sight to attack an enemy if there's a wall, door or fog between us?

Yes — attacks, items and powers require legal L.O.S.; walls, blocking terrain, external tile edges and some figures can block L.O.S., and vision is limited to 5 areas (see Line of Sight rules and Fog of War). (p12–13)

### If I move through or leave an area that contains enemies, do they get free attacks on me?

Yes — whenever you move through or leave an area with enemies you must Evade, and each enemy in that area makes a reaction attack before you can move out; the only exception is if the heroes are dominating that area. (p21–22)

### Can I interrupt my Movement to perform a Combat activity (attack) and then resume moving?

No — unless a special effect says otherwise you cannot interrupt Movement to perform Combat and then resume Movement, though you may use Actions or Free Actions while moving. (p14)

### What's the difference between an Action and a Free Action — if I use Dash (an Action) can I still attack that turn?

An Action (yellow) consumes one of your limited Action activities while Free Actions (grey) are unlimited; Dash is an Action and uses one Action but does not consume your Combat activities, so you can still attack that turn if you have remaining Combat activities. (p14, p23)

### Can I reorganize or exchange equipped items while I'm engaged with enemies?

No — several Actions require you to be not engaged: Reorganize Equipped Items and Exchange an Item both specify the hero must not be engaged in combat to use them. (p23)

### What happens when my hero dies — how does Ghost Soul and resurrection work?

On death the hero becomes a Ghost Soul, immediately loses one Soulrank, flips to Ghost Soul form, drops inventory (not equipped items), and can only use Ghost Soul activities until resurrected at an active Shrine by spending Soul Points equal to the hero’s current Soulrank. (p38–39)
