## Rules questions

### Which dice go on the silver platter and when do they get placed there?

After you choose a die, all dice showing a lower value are placed on the silver platter; after each of your three rolls you repeat this and at the end you place any remaining dice not on your sheet on the platter. If you choose the lowest die, no dice are placed that step, and dice on the platter cannot be used by the active player except via the Extra Die action (pp. 3–4).

### Can I use the white die by itself to fill the blue area, or do I have to add it to a blue die?

The white die is wild for the blue area only when combined with a blue die: you must add the white and blue die values together (you cannot use just one of the two dice alone for the blue area) (p. 5).

### As a passive player, can I take a die from the active player's board instead of the silver platter?

Only if you cannot use any die from the silver platter: in that case you may take one die from the active player's pad, but you cannot refuse a usable silver-platter die in order to do this (pp. 4, 7).

### Do I always get three rolls as the active player?

No — if your earlier selections leave no dice to reroll you simply perform fewer than three rolls; taking high dice can end your rolling early (p. 3).

### How do foxes score at the end of the game?

Each activated fox scores points equal to your lowest-scoring colored area (and if your lowest area scores 0 points, foxes are worth nothing) (p. 7).

### When can I use unlocked actions, and how do Reroll and Extra Die work?

Unlocked actions may be used immediately or saved for later; Reroll is for the active player only and rerolls all dice that were just thrown (not dice on your sheet or platter), while Extra Die is used at the end of a turn to pick any one of the six dice (including ones already taken) but each individual die can only be chosen once per turn (p. 8).
