## Rules questions

### If I take a faceup Locomotive, can I still draw a second card that turn?

No — if you take a faceup Locomotive it must be the only card you pick that turn; however, if you draw a Locomotive as a blind draw from the deck it counts as a single card and you may still draw a second card (page 4).

### Can I claim both tracks of a double route?

No — a single player may never claim both Tracks of a Double Route, and in 2‑ or 3‑player games only one of the two Tracks may be claimed (the other is locked) (page 5).

### How do Tunnels work — do I have to pay extra cards when I try to claim one?

When you attempt a Tunnel you first play the cards for the route, then reveal the top three train cards; for each revealed card that matches the color you played (Locomotives count as matches) you must play an additional card of that color or a Locomotive, or you may take your cards back and end your turn; the revealed cards are then discarded (pages 5–6).

### Do Ferry routes require Locomotives?

Yes — to claim a Ferry you must play a Locomotive for each Locomotive symbol shown on the route, plus the normal set of cards of one color for the remaining spaces (page 5).

### If I draw Destination Tickets during the game, do I have to keep any of them?

You draw three Tickets (four in the Big Cities variant) and must keep at least one of them; any you do not keep are placed on the bottom of the deck, and kept Tickets cannot be discarded later (page 6).

### How do Train Stations work, what do they cost, and how are they scored?

You may build up to three Stations (one per turn): first costs 1 card of any color, second costs a set of 2 of one color, third costs a set of 3 of one color (Locomotives may substitute); a Station lets you use one opponent’s route into/out of that city to complete your Tickets (you choose which route at final scoring), and each unused Station scores +4 points at the end (pages 4, 6–7).
