## Rules questions

### How many Captains and Crew can I place—am I limited by spaces on my board or can I use all my crew in a round?

You may place any Captains or Crew you have available during the Action Phase (see placement rules, p.12) and use crew you pull into action during the turn, but at the end of the round any excess crew you cannot fit on your Control Panel are returned to the Cryogenic Chamber (pp.8, 36).

### Can I use a Wormhole from anywhere, or do I have to be on a planet that shows a Wormhole?

You can only use a Wormhole when your Starship is in orbit at a Planet with a Wormhole (or when a Bonus tile or skill gives you a wormhole), paying 1 Alien resource for the jump; a portable/skill wormhole works the same way but can be used wherever your ship is (p.17; p.36).

### How do Credits and Resources convert to Victory Points at the end of the game?

At game end each remaining Credit is worth 1 VP, and every 3 Resources in your Cargo Bay (rounded down) are worth 1 VP; also score one of your Objective cards (p.23).

### Do Galactic Senate rewards give a discount on track advances, and if so how much?

Track advances granted by Galactic Senate rewards include a discount; the errata clarifies that Galactic Senate rewards provide the full discount (see the Senate rules and reward note on p.15 and the errata on p.33).

### When can I defeat Space Pirates—can I defeat them any time I'm on that planet?

Pirates can only be defeated as a free action during an Exploration action when your Starship ends movement on the Pirate planet and your Military Level meets or exceeds the Pirate strength (p.16).

### Do I need a specific Trade level to place an Outpost on a planet, and does it differ for the first and second player there?

Each Outpost site shows a required Trade Level that a player must meet before placing an Outpost; sites can have increasing requirements, so the first player to build there might need a lower Trade level than a later builder who uses a different site on the same planet (p.17).
