## Rules questions

### When I place a hex tile, does it have to touch my pieces and which tiles trigger activations for scoring?

You may place a tile anywhere legal but only the newly placed tile and any adjacent groups it completes trigger activations; placements that complete connections or groups are what score and can activate multiple times, see setup and tile/group rules (Rulebook pp.3, 9).

### How does the Energy action score connections — what earns 1 / 3 / 6 victory points?

The Energy action scores completed connections based on their size: small, medium and large connection thresholds earn 1, 3, or 6 VP respectively when you complete them with the Energy action (Rulebook pp.4, 10).

### With the Witch action, can I both place and move Witches in one action, and how do Magic chips work?

The Witch action lets you deploy or move witches as specified by the action (you follow the Witch action's options rather than doing both by default), and placing or righting witches can grant Magic chips which are tracked and scored later (Rulebook pp.4, 10).

### When I advance on the Pentagram track, do I take an Owl tile or a special hex, and how are they different?

Advancing on the Pentagram lets you take either an Owl tile or a special hex tile depending on the space you land on; Owl tiles are one-use effects while some special hex tiles provide ongoing or different benefits as described on the Pentagram action (Rulebook pp.5, 11, 17).

### How does the Crystal action work — how can I move crystals and what's the vial rack for?

The Crystal action moves crystals along the board according to the action's rules and allows you to place moved crystals into your vial rack to fuel future crystal actions or gains; the exact movement and rack placement are detailed in the Crystal action section (Rulebook pp.5, 11).

### When does the game end and how are Prophecies and Reinforcing Spells scored (what are typical prophecy point values)?

The game ends when the end-game condition on the Magic Wand/Pentagram track is met; Prophecies are scored at game end with tiered values (examples 3/5/7 points for fulfilled prophecy levels) and Reinforcing Spells modify actions or scoring as noted in the end-game scoring rules (Rulebook pp.7, 13, 19).
