Adrenalin

User summaryAdrenalin is a free Swedish action RPG. It uses d20 and d6 for randomization. A character in Adrenalin has eight attributes that are rolled up randomly. Attributes range from 0 to 5. Derived from those attributes are some secondary values like education, hit points, damage bonus, etc. Also randomly determined are specializations in any of the attributes which gives a character a higher base value for skills depending on the attribute. The two additional elements that define a character are disadvantages and skills. Disadvantages may be chosen freely (as long as the GM allows it) and yield additional points to spend on skills. Skills are bought from a point pool calculated from the characters age, education and points from disadvantages. Every skill is attached to an attribute and has the attribute's value as its basic value. Skill values are open ended but 6-15 are average to good values, and everything above 20 is exceptional. To succeed at an attempted task, the player rolls a d20 and adds his skill value. If the result is equal to or higher a given target value, the task is completed successful. Combat uses skill checks for attacks. After a hit is scored a hit location is determined by a d20 roll (+1d6 if it was a critical hit). If the hit location is behind cover, the attack misses or damage is halved as the game master sees fit. Damage is subtracted from a character's hit points. There are also some special rules for different situations (falling, vehicle crashes, drugs, etc.)
