CHAINsomnia
Players take the roles of sleeping children trapped in a demon’s castle and cooperate to reach the Wake Up tile before the bad dreams overwhelm them. Each player manages a character sheet with a six-space chain gauge that determines action points; chains can be added or removed by actions, items, skills, or other players’ help. On a turn, players spend AP to place room tiles (expanding the map), move, search secret spots, use or trade items, transfer chains, and activate personal skills. Adding a room triggers an event draw that may place bad dream tokens that block movement and must be cleared. After players act, the demon advances via event draws that escalate as shrieks accumulate. The group wins if any player stands on the Wake Up tile once all bad dream cards are removed; immobilization of all characters or depletion of the event deck causes defeat.
