Runebound
Sweep the countryside looking for ever bigger monsters to defeat. Level up by gaining experience and acquire powerful weapons, armour, and allies while racing to face the final adversary. Movement uses terrain dice, and combat unfolds through ranged, melee, and magic phases, allowing heroes to specialise while leaving them vulnerable to certain creatures. Adventure decks pace the challenges as players progress from smaller threats to more dangerous encounters. The game also supports solo play.

the whole 'second edition' thing just ticks me off. Now I'm stuck with an old copy.
