The Roman art of war evolves over nearly three hundred years of Republican history. Ten battles contrast Roman armies with Greek phalanxes, Hannibal’s forces, and the Gauls. Players maneuver Wings made up of multiple units, resolve losses by flipping attacked or adjacent units, and apply pressure to trigger Rout Checks that can collapse battle lines. Special rules reflect the changing tactics and armies of each engagement, from Heraclea and Zama to Pharsalus and Munda.
