Turning Point

This historical wargame covers Freeman’s Farm in the American Revolution and Lundy’s Lane in the War of 1812, focusing on battles that shaped the formation of the United States Army. Players maneuver units across square-grid battle maps using separate decks of cards. Each turn, cards determine movement, combat, counter-attacks, rallies, and other actions, with players alternating card plays until both have exhausted their available hands. Positioning, feints, and attacks depend on managing limited information about the opponent’s cards and strength. The system uses no dice or combat results tables, and includes rules for solitaire play. Each battle takes about two hours.
