ludoya.comHow each category scores
- Victory Point Track
- One marker on a track running from +20, an automatic US victory, to -20, an automatic USSR victory, starting on the At Start box in the middle. Gaining VP moves the marker that many spaces in your favour rather than adding to your own pile, so the USSR gaining 2 while the marker sits on US 10 moves it to US 8. If a single card or event awards VP to both players, apply only the difference.
- Auto win: 20 VP
- The instant one player reaches 20 VP the game is over and they win. Every VP award on that event or scoring card, for both players, is applied before checking.
- Auto win: Europe
- A side that Controls Europe wins the moment the Europe Scoring card is played — and this holds even during final scoring after turn 10, whatever is happening elsewhere.
- Auto win: Nuclear War
- A player wins the instant their opponent takes the DEFCON level down to 1.
- After turn 10
- With no victory of any kind by the end of turn 10, every region is scored as though its scoring card had just been played, Southeast Asia being folded into Asia, and every region must be calculated before victory is decided. Reaching 20 VP during this scoring does not end it early. A positive marker means the US wins, a negative one the USSR, and zero is a draw.
