Zogen

Players act as researchers trying to empty their hand of microorganism cards by observing the changing lab state and ‘‘recording’’ that change with a play. Each player begins with a hand of sixteen cards showing 0–4 of four microorganism types; the start player leads a card face up and everyone else simultaneously tries to play a card that differs from the lead by exactly one microorganism (one added or one removed). When playing, the player must announce which microorganism was added or removed, and others then match that played card. A round ends when a player reaches three cards, and players score according to how many cards they still hold; points across rounds determine the winner.
