This expansion recreates an alternate-history scenario around the assault on Palace Grimaldi, letting players explore different outcomes of the 2 de Mayo events through new card-driven options. It adds 44 cards (22 new and 22 adapted) plus a rulebook, and introduces six new modes of play — including a double-draft option and customizable setups — that modify the original game’s card interactions and strategic choices. Players integrate the new cards with the base game, draft and play cards to resolve conflicts, and test “what if” variations on troop movements, charges, and artillery use to see how different decisions change the battle’s result.
