A frontier outpost stands between two uneasy nations, serving as a home for traders, criminals, farmers, and soldiers. After fifty years, distant rulers plan to close the installation, but scouts have discovered a hobgoblin camp nearby where something is being excavated. The setting provides a base for campaigns, plotlines, or standalone adventures. An included adventure for 1st- to 3rd-level characters sends the party to investigate the secret camp, about a day’s march from the outpost.
