Players compete in a contest held by a struggling local adventurers’ guild, seeking to raise its profile and recruit new members. The once-popular guild has lost adventurers to distant lands and independent delving, leaving its hall in disrepair and its staff reduced. Winning the contest earns free membership and helps revitalize the declining organization.
