Players investigate the locations of valuable documents and tools while trying to build the most favorable collection of cards. Each player has two face-down cards that cannot be viewed, while one card remains in the center. On a turn, a player peeks at one card and swaps it with a card held by the investigated player, or peeks at the center card and exchanges it with any card. After each player has acted, one card is revealed, and the first player token passes left. The game ends when a player cannot make a legal move. Players score their face-up cards and any blackmail card, with the highest total winning.
