In modern Japan, the secret research organization SAI revives wartime experiments based on six mysterious mummies excavated from a mountain village. By implanting cells from the bodies, it attempts to create monsters known as Amalgams, though only one subject in ten thousand survives. Players take part in this dark research and the events surrounding the unstable creatures it produces.
