This Numenera supplement presents the Ninth World’s nanotechnology as an arcane system of magic, shaped by gestures, syllables, and symbols. It introduces an alternate cypher system that allows characters to cast spells from memory, with 48 printable Arcane Cypher cards. The book includes ten areas of arcane study, 22 character Foci, and 100 minor magical effects called Charms. It also details an arcane university in Qi, along with mentors, adversaries, study-associated foes, and four pieces of fiction.
