2006 · Card Game
Asterix & Obelix
In this two-player game, Asterix and Obelix defend their village against waves of Romans, pirates, a wild boar, and the traitorous Gallic chief Moralelastix. Each player uses a deck of colored beating cards to defeat matching Roman cards arranged in a 4x4 formation. On a turn, a player reveals cards from a row and chooses whether to stop and claim the defeated Romans or continue pressing their luck. An unmatched Roman ends the turn and removes all potential rewards, while special cards provide different effects. Players refill their hands, block rows, and replace cleared spaces. The game ends when the fifth Village Feast appears, and points are awarded for majorities among the Romans and special enemies.
