Beneath the Towers of Khardum
A toolkit for creating sword-and-sorcery hex-crawl adventures in the desert city of Khardum, the Plains of Ibars, and the surrounding Caroon Desert. It includes a detailed hex map, randomized locations and points of interest, seven competing factions, and a system for generating conflicts that reshape the region. Rules cover alternate hex-crawling methods, desert weather, sandstorms, caravan travel, settlements, faction quests, warlords, and ancient dungeons. The toolkit also provides new monsters, including undead lizardfolk and rideable giant snails, along with magical grenades, flying carpets, and other desert-themed items for Shadowdark RPG or similar d20 fantasy games.
