Berlin 1936
In the summer of 1936, athletes and visitors gather in Berlin for the eleventh Olympic Games. The event offers a temporary image of international unity, while the policies of Adolf Hitler’s regime and the threat of a new world war remain visible beneath the celebrations. Players take part in the unfolding events surrounding the Games, following the Swedish fencing contender Fredrik Adlercreutz, his family and friends, and the political tensions shaping their time in Berlin.
