The game integrates electronic miniatures and a companion app to track building effects and colony algorithms, while NFC-enabled cards trigger political edicts and in-game events. Scenarios and modular difficulty settings change available resources and objectives; games support solo, cooperative, and semi-cooperative play and offer campaign-style connectivity with optional online interactions between player colonies.
