Blade & Bow: The Ancient World at War – Volume I: Rise of the Hoplite

Hoplites and Persians clash in four historical battles: Marathon, Thermopylae, Plataea, and Mycale. Players command opposing ancient armies using square-grid movement, card-based activations, and formations whose strength can be allocated and revealed in combat. The system models hoplite warfare, including dense formations that can be worn down as they advance, while special cards introduce battlefield effects. Each battle takes approximately two to three hours.
