Bu and Embla visit Vrirhlanz, the homeworld of the Hlanssai in the Vargr Extents, where they take a break with Embla’s family. Technically ruled by the Vargr, the world is shaped by the Hlanssai’s chaotic culture and their efforts to remain free from outside control. Embla reflects on her homeworld from the perspective of a traveller who has crossed entire sectors.
