BX Game Options Volume X
This volume presents rules and options for familiars, including ways for game masters to use them and benefits for characters linked to them. It also introduces five new playable or non-player races known as the folk, anthropomorphic animals that may resemble were-beasts. The Towers of the Spike provides maps for five floors of a tower complex built on a lonely spire above a gate to unknown dangers. Notes suggest occupants and ways to incorporate the towers into adventures, with a separate maps-only PDF included in the digital edition. Some material refers to earlier volumes.
