Chariots of Fire: Warfare in the Bronze Age, 2300-1200 B.C.

A tactical wargame set in the Bronze Age that models chariot-centric warfare from roughly 2300–1200 BC. Players command period armies and maneuver chariot types, supporting infantry, and heavier formations across hex maps with 100-yard hexes and 20-minute turns. Scenarios recreate nine historical battles and cover a range of forces—Sumerian, Akkadian, Egyptian, Hittite, Assyrian, Babylonian, Mycenaean and others—each with distinct chariot roles and associated runner infantry. Combat and mobility rules differentiate light two-man chariots, heavy multi-crew vehicles, and earlier battle wagons to simulate tactical employment and interactions with infantry and terrain. Plays in 1–3 hours; unit scale is roughly 350 men per mounted unit.
