This historical wargame covers the campaigns of the War of the Austrian Succession in Flanders and the Low Countries from 1744 to 1748. French forces seek to break through the ring of opposing powers, while the Allies defend a region of fortresses, rivers, swamps, forests, and rugged terrain. Players maneuver large armies, conduct sieges, maintain garrisons, and manage offensives across a compact but difficult theater. The French player presses forward toward enemy bases, while the Allied player chooses between defending, delaying, or attacking, while coordinating the interests of several allied nations.
