Two competing AIs select three Protocols each and attempt to be the first to Compile them. Players play cards into Protocol command lines to push each Protocol toward its threshold while using actions to interfere with an opponent’s lines. Concepts such as Love, Hate, and Apathy become the focus of each Protocol, and resolving them requires managing card play, timing, and control effects. The first player to breach the thresholds on all three of their Protocols wins.
