Cribbagio
A variant of classic cribbage that keeps the traditional deal, discard to the crib, cut card, pegging and hand-counting phases but adds persistent and round-based modifiers. At setup each player draws a Peg Class card that grants a lasting scoring ability (for example, altered flush requirements). When a player reaches or is set back to 30, 60, or 90 points, they draw one Buff and one Curse; these one-use cards are played after the cut card is revealed and before pegging, with the dealer resolving last. Buffs increase a player’s scoring potential for that round, while Curses hinder an opponent’s points or cards. Play alternates dealers and continues until a player reaches the target score on the cribbage board.
