Cthulhu: Death May Die – Fear of the Unknown: Animal Allies
This expansion adds animal companions as a new type of Relic that join investigators on the board and interact with enemies. Each ally has a starting and upgraded form represented by separate figures that follow investigators, move up to three spaces as a free action when controlled, attack or lure monsters, soak wounds, grant rerolls, and otherwise protect their tutor. Allies are placed with investigators during setup and may follow them when they leave a space; they count as tokens with their own movement rules rather than as regular figures. When an investigator reaches the third insanity milestone, the ally card and figure flip to the upgraded side; if the investigator is killed, the ally is removed.
