Dark Fantasy: Religion
A system-neutral collection of tables and short essays for creating religions, deities, churches, taboos, spirits, and beliefs in dark fantasy settings. It explores flawed heroes, corrupting magic, ominous ruins, damned wastelands, and other grim fantasy themes. Sections cover religious characters, holy symbols, powers such as baptism, conversion, exorcism, and excommunication, as well as taboos, oaths, vows, and the place of deities within Law, Chaos, and the wider cosmological order. The material supports roleplaying games, stories, and comics, with some elements suited to traditional fantasy RPG mechanics.
