DarkSpace: Science Fiction Core Rules for Shadowdark
A science-fiction rules expansion for the Shadowdark RPG, supporting campaigns about scavengers, mercenaries, adventurers, and explorers of the human frontier. It includes seven archetype classes, 20 backgrounds, customizable species traits, motivations, the Triad, reputation and bounty systems, equipment, weapons, armor, cybernetics, and salvage rules. Rules cover starship travel, astrogation, ship combat, space hazards, and ship construction and upgrades. The book also includes two stock starships, 23 denizen stat blocks, and a spacer character sheet. A copy of the Shadowdark RPG is required to play.
